Participate
Participation in FOUND is simple and entirely optional.
FOUND is not a program or organized effort. It is a quiet act of placing Scripture where it may be discovered by someone who needs it.
Anyone who chooses to participate may do so in their own way.
Preparing a Bible
Choose a Bible that you would like to give freely.
It may be new or one you already own. Some choose to write a short note, a verse, or a prayer inside before placing it.
The intention is not to explain FOUND, but simply to leave something that may bring comfort to the person who discovers it.
When It Is Found
What happens next is entirely up to the person who discovers it.
They may:
• Leave it where it is
• Take it with them
• Add a prayer or note
• Pass it forward to another place
The placement should feel respectful, safe, and
appropriate for the location.
Once placed, the Bible no longer belongs to the person who left it.
The Spirit of FOUND
FOUND is guided by a few simple principles:
Anonymous — no recognition is expected
Free — no obligation is placed on the person who finds it
Quiet — no promotion or attention is needed
The value is in the act itself.
Placing It
Leave the Bible in an ordinary place where someone may come across it naturally.
Examples might include:
A park bench
A hospital waiting area
A library table
A quiet corner in a public space
There is no right or wrong response.
If even one person feels comfort, hope, or peace for a moment, that is enough
